ABOUT WASIMI
The name Wasimi holds deep personal and cultural significance. In Yoruba, Wasimi means “Come and Rest”, an invitation to find peace and restoration. It is also the name of a sleepy town near Abeokuta, Nigeria, where childhood memories of carefree joy and deep connection to nature were formed.
As a child, Wasimi was a place of pure magic—a slow-living village where days were spent playing in the river, jumping in to cool off under the golden evening sun. Tapholes zipped freely between my little toes as we walked over to the natural spring rocks to fetch drinking water—nostalgic memories of my cousins' laughter.
Evenings were for storytelling by moonlight, sitting on our woven mats, starlit skies, soaking in the warmth of family and tradition. It was a place of calm, connection, and belonging, even though we were too young to realize its profound beauty.
That same sense of peace and simplicity inspired Wasimi Villas, an oasis of tranquility designed for those seeking a deeper connection with nature, themselves, and sound investment.
Like the original Wasimi, this lakeside retreat offers a haven away from the bustle of city life, where the land seems to invite you to slow down, breathe, and simply be.
